4 Great Reasons You’ll Love Living in Manly Qld

Finding the perfect location is the natural starting point when hunting for a new home, and in the crusade for that perfect retreat, lifestyle is the key element.  Thankfully living in Manly Qld in Brisbane’s popular bayside precinct, has got you covered.

At Safeguard Inspections, we are proud Manly locals providing building inspections in Manly and the surrounding bayside. We have a ton of knowledge to share about the area.  Whether you’re chasing the quiet life or things to do, there are a ton of reasons why you’ll love living in Manly, and this list only scratches the surface!

With Manly Real Estate, You Have Style Options!

Kicking off with the most important reason, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the diversity in housing styles available in Manly.

Manly is a suburb with a rich history and has been settled since 1862 when the homestead Wyvernleigh (Tingalpa House) was built.  The suburb is home to the ever-popular Queenslander style home of the early 20th century, with local housing styles now a terrific mix of Queenslander, weatherboard, brick and modern rendered homes.

The Manly median house price is $853,500, with a stable and steady market.  You will find that there are bargain price housing options available and, with Brisbane city only a short distance away, Manly is a very convenient and well-priced option.

Manly Restaurants and Cafes – Eat Up!

Manly is overflowing with delicious food options along popular Cambridge Parade, the scenic Royal Esplanade and into the Manly Harbour.

Fresh seafood is in abundance at restaurants such as the popular Shucks Bar. Still, if that’s not your thing, it’s ok because the options are almost limitless, including Moroccan, Italian, Chinese, Thai, and Spanish.

Are you feeling the need to simplify?  There are plenty of delicious cafes, fish and chipperies, and relaxing wine bars at your disposal.

Wynnum Manly Waterfront – Enjoy Seaside Living!

Whether you’d rather watch the boats or charter one, you’ll love Manly Harbour, which is home to the East Coast Marina, Wynnum Manly Yacht Club, Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, and a host of other boating clubs.

If you’re at the harbour for the views and activities, enjoy a picnic at Bayside Park, take a swim any time of the year in the Manly Heated Swimming Pool, or grab a bite to eat at the scenic Wilson’s Boathouse.

If you feel like refreshing with some sun, sand and sea then head up to Pandanus Beach in the neighbouring suburb of Wynnum.  This lovely patch of beach on the Wynnum foreshore comes complete with ocean views, a jetty for fishing, a tidal wading pool for the kids, and lush parkland for the perfect picnic.
